Making Time for Mincha
Rabbi N., an attorney by profession, recalled his first day of work. On his way out his father reminded him, “Don’t forget to daven minchah.” Rabbi N. was surprised – how could anyone possibly forget minchah? Ironically, his first day
on the job at a busy law firm was so hectic – that he forgot to daven minchah… “Making minchah” is a special challenge in the workplace for two reasons. First, we need to remember minchah, and second, we need to be able to pull away from work and actually daven. While minchah should be second nature, it can be a tremendous hurdle, every single day that we are at work.
